#REGENERATE14: the LAB magazine x Generator Hostels

                                                     worked with LA-based the LAB magazine and London-based Generator Hostel group to organise a 4-DAY TAKEOVER EVENT in Berlin, with international art exhibition, live music performances, daytime workshops from local art initiatives and a VIP / Press Opening.

 

The core project goal was to raise the image of the hostel group worldwide and co-promote the magazine in Europe.

By bringing together the creative community in the hostel city we arranged an immersive collaborative experience.

The event focus was on sharing our spaces as a series of sustainable environments through social and communal movement.

 

Taking place in Berlin 17 - 20th  July, the interactive exhibition was found over all 6 floors of the hostel, encouraging the guests to engage with the art, artists, and fellow guests, thus becoming part of the communal experience themselves.

 

As part of the on-going promotion for Generator Hostel group, the LAB magazine documented the organisational process, event and individual artists.

An interesting aspect of this project is the SOCIAL MEDIA utilisation, and increased online reach from collaborative promotion.

 

Live events provide exciting environments for those lucky enough to be on site.

They also offer interesting content for online promotion and the improvement of percieved image of brands. 

 

This project employed two professional Instagramers who in turn organised an INSTAMEET.

By organising engaging visual content, they were happy to capture the event and distribute online.

 

Using the #REGENERATE14 tag for facebook, twitter, and instagram, the organisers also cleverly named the event exactly this, ensuring visitors used the correct tag and optimised the media reach. This gave the local event international exposure through the various online platforms, and a much larger scale.
